Welcome to scatterbrain. We are a new magazine that will be distributed as a FREE PDF directly to subscribers’ email and as an online magazine available at our website. The first issue is scheduled for June 1, 2008. The magazine is open to all genres, but I prefer stories of the surreal.
Pay will be 1/2ยข/word for stories up to 5000 words, paid via paypal on publication. Please query for longer works. Flat rate of $5 for poetry.
We are buying First NA serial rights, the rights to archive the story online after the issues run, and the rights for an end of the year print anthology if funds permit. No multiple or simultaneous submissions please. Reprints welcome, but please include information about where it was previously published.
Expect a response time of at least 3 months. Please submit all stories in the body of the email, no attachments please (ATTACHMENTS WILL BE DELETED.)
